10 Essential Kitchen Tools For Busy Moms
There are a few things I believe every cook needs to have in their kitchen, especially us busy moms. By the time dinner comes around most of us are tired.
I want to share with you my 10 Essential Kitchen Tools For Busy Moms.
If you’re not a busy mom, these tools will still be helpful for you!
10 Essential Kitchen Tools For Busy Moms
All of these tools will help you make a great family meal without extra work or stress. I own all of these tools and use them regularly. There are lots of kitchen gadgets and tools out there, it’s hard to decided which ones you need and which ones are a waste of money.
That is where I hope this list will be helpful to you. 🙂
A Crockpot is my number one kitchen tool for us busy moms. If you are a working mom or a stay at home mom this kitchen tool comes in handy. When you know you’re going to have a long day, you can throw dinner into the Crockpot and just let it do it’s thing. Crockpots are also great for planning meals ahead of time.

A blender is a wonderful thing to have when you have kids. I make my boys smoothies almost every day, it has spinach and vitamins (check out the Superfood powder we use here) blended into it and they don’t even know because it’s so delicious. This is a great way to get vitamins into your kids. This blender is so powerful that I also use it as a food processor. I have used it to make my Creamy Cauliflower Mash and Spicy White Bean Garlic Hummus. It’s also great for margaritas! 🙂
Everyone needs a good pan set. This saves you time and energy with cleaning up dinner. I have the Rachel Ray pan set and I LOVE it. Cleaning them is a breeze and the spatula that comes with them is my absolute favorite. I think a good spatula is also essential.
Just like a good set of pans, everyone needs a good set of knives. Have you ever tried chopping up dinner with a dull knife? It’s the worst and makes everything take way longer than needed. This is the knife set I have and I love it. It has every knife I need and a sharpener. They all store nicely on the counter top and look beautiful as well.
Indoor Grill/ Griddle
This 5-in-1 Griddler is awesome. You can get so many uses out of it, indoor grill, griddle, panini press, and it lays open flat. It has interchangeable plates and they come off to be washed. You can use one grill plate and one griddle plate, you can do so much with this.

My husband bought me these lids one year as a gift and they are awesome. They have different sizes and they fit on lots of different pots. They make cooking easier because you don’t have to look all over for specific lids for each pot you are using. These fit multiple sizes. You can also use them to cover dishes in the microwave or refrigerator.
Self Timed Coffee Pot
I don’t know about you but this is a life saver for me! I know Keurigs are the cool thing to have, but I personally don’t like them. I like to make more than one cup of coffee at a time, and as a homeschooling, working mom I NEED MY COFFEE. This is the coffee pot I have and you can program it, isn’t that exciting? You can program this machine to make you coffee! 🙂 Music to my ears.
Good bake ware is important because you don’t want to put all your time into cooking dinner or baking a dessert for it to stick! I have this set, they are a great non-stick set and last a long time. My favorite peice is the sheet pan. Sheet pan dinners are great for busy moms, everything goes in one pan and into the oven. Check out my Garlic Parmesan Sheet pan Chicken Dinner here.
These are not just essential for bust moms but for any cook. It’s helpful to have more than one cutting board, so you can use one for meats and a different one for vegetables, etc.
When you are cooking and baking, looking all over for a bowl can be a pain. I like to have a set of mixing bowls so that I have every size I need when I am cooking.
Those are the 10 Essential Kitchen Tools For Busy Moms but I have a few honorable mentions. These things I wouldn’t consider essential but they are helpful.
A stand mixer is awesome for making cakes, cookies, bread, frostings, tons of different things. My favorite thing about it it the grater attachment, I never have to grate anything by hand ever again! I am happy about that.
Food storage containers actually should be considered essentials, unless you don’t eat leftovers (and some people don’t) but we do! Left overs are always helpful on the busy nights when dinner hasn’t even been thought of yet.
These are all the things I use on a regular basis in my kitchen. Most of them are pretty affordable because like I have said so many times before, I am cheap! The higher priced items are well worth it in the long run.
Hope you enjoyed my list. Let me know your favorite kitchen tool in the comments below!
