Chicken strips are a favorite around my house.  We don’t eat them very often because they are usually fried and not great for you.  So I came up with these healthy baked chicken strips packed full of ranch flavor.

These are perfect for dinner any night of the week or for an appetizer at your next party.  Homemade healthy baked chicken strips are something you can feed your kids family and feel good about it.

Ranch Healthy Baked Chicken Strips

These Ranch Healthy Baked Chicken Strips became a favorite in our house immediately.  I mean, who doesn’t love a crunchy chicken strip dipped in ranch?  These baked chicken strips have the ranch cooked right in!

Healthy Baked Chicken Strips

This recipe is so simple and doesn’t take very many ingredients.

Here is what you need

4 Skinless and boneless chicken breasts
1/2 c greek yogurt ranch
2.5 c whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
1/2 ranch seasoning packet

That’s all you need!

I use Greek yogurt ranch for this recipe because it’s so much healthier for you than traditional ranch and also yogurt helps tenderize the chicken.

 

Tools you might need


A non stick baking sheet is perfect to bake these chicken strips.


You will also need mixing bowls for the coating of your chicken strips.

How to make Ranch Healthy Baked Chicken Strips

First, preheat your oven to 350

Next, you will cut the chicken into strips, about 1/2 inch thick.

Place the chicken strips into a mixing bowl and cover with the greek yogurt ranch.

In a separate bowl mix together panko breadcrumbs and half of the ranch seasoning packet.

Coat each chicken strip in your breadcrumb mixture.

Line your pan with parchment paper or spray it with cooking spray.

Then, place your chicken strips on your baking sheet.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until fully cooked through.

Ranch Healthy Baked Chicken Strips Substitutions

If you are gluten free, you can substitute gluten free panko breadcrumbs in place of the regular breadcrumbs.

You will also want to make sure your ranch seasoning packet is gluten free.

All the rest of the steps would be the same.

My kids loved these, next time I will make extra and freeze them!  These are also delicious in salads or wraps.
