White Bean Tuna Salad - Cakes to Kale

White Bean Tuna Salad

white bean tuna salad

Want something quick and easy for lunch?  Don’t worry I got you, White Bean Tuna Salad!  I love tuna salad but I don’t like all the calories and fat I get from the mayonnaise in it.  1 cup of mayo has over 1000 calories in it and 160 grams of fat.  No thank you.  There are always easy ways to swap things out of foods and recipes you love to make them healthier and still eat them.

White Bean Tuna Salad

So for this tuna salad recipe I add white beans, or cannellini beans, it gives you the creamy feeling without all the mayo.  This meal is light and hits the tuna salad spot.  You can eat it by itself or on your favorite bread.  This is one of my favorite things to eat for lunch when I want something healthy and light, but also quick.  I don’t know about you but healthy meals that are also quick are my go to.

Here is an article, found on eatingwell.com, with tips for buying the healthiest tuna.  I didn’t even know about these things until not long ago, check it out.
