Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings
I received and air fryer for my birthday in December. At first, I was skeptical about the hype of the air fryer. There are so many new gadgets these days, I didn’t know if I should invest in this or not. Now that I have one and have tried it out, I understand all the hype. I LOVE my air fryer. I use it daily and sometimes multiple times a day. I actually want another air fryer! I’m so glad someone bought this for me. I can’t wait to start making all the air fryer recipes.
If you are not familiar with an air fryer, they are basically a little oven that uses a convection mechanism that circulates the air around the food.
I have made many different things in my air fryer so far, such as eggs, bacon, chicken, veggies, brownies, sandwiches, and so much more. And I plan to make more. So be on the lookout for those air fryer recipes.
These Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings are one of my favorite things I have made. The air fryer makes them nice and crispy, which is just how I like my chicken wings! You are going to love this chicken wing recipe.

How to make Chicken Wings in the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer at 380° for 5 minutes.
Prep your chicken wings by drying them off. Then salt and pepper them.
Once the 5 minute preheating is done, place your chicken wings inside the air fryer without sauce.
Cook the chicken wings at 380° for 15 minutes.
While your chicken wings are starting to cook, you will make your delicious sauce. If you like this sauce as much as I do, you can use it for other recipes as well.
In a small sauce pan, combine butter, honey, garlic, cayenne pepper, and hot sauce. You can use any kind of hot sauce you like, I used sriracha. Stir until all the ingredients are melted together.
Pour your sauce into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
Once the chicken wings are done with the 15 minute no sauce cooking, remove them with tongs and place your chicken wings into the sauce and mix them all around until fully coated. Save the extra sauce to re coat halfway through the last cooking.
Place your chicken wings back into the air fryer for 10 more minutes at 380°. During the last few minutes I like to re-sauce the wings and turn the heat up to 400°. This gets the wings nice and crispy!
I mean, look how delicious these babies are!
Air Fryer Chicken Wings Cook Time
The total cook time for the sweet and spicy chicken wings is 25 minutes. 15 minutes at 380, sauce them up, another 10 minutes.
