Easy Christmas Treats

I love making treats for people at Christmas time, friends, family, teachers, neighbors, co-workers, everyone!

There is just something about homemade treats that make people feel special.  The effort that goes into them and the fact that you thought about them to make them some treats.  Food is a way I like to show my appreciation and love.

Favorite Christmas Treats

After I make all my treats for everyone I like to put them into festive containers.

You can use Christmas Cupcake Papers to help separate the treats inside the containers.  Your family and friends will love that you thought about them!

Andes Mint Christmas Crack

This Christmas crack recipe might be my favorite treat I have ever made.  It’s addicting…like really addicting.  Hense the name Christmas Crack.

Traditional Christmas Crack is made with saltines and semi-sweet chocolate, my Andes Mint Christmas Crack is made with chocolate graham crackers and Andes Mints!  If you love mint chocolate, this recipe is for you.

Making Christmas crack is also really easy to make.  You only need a few ingredients, most you probably already have in the pantry.

Ingredients For Andes Mint Christmas Crack

  • 14-16 Chocolate Graham Crackers
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bag of Andes Mint Baking Chips
  • Christmas Sprinkles (I use dye free sprinkles, like the ones linked above.)

This recipe is so simple and easy, which is one of the many reasons I love it.  It’s perfect for Christmas parties or as gifts for family and friends.

How To Make Andes Mint Christmas Crack

First, preheat your oven to 400°.

Line your baking sheet with foil.

Place the chocolate graham crackers covering the whole pan.

In a sauce pan heat up the butter, brown sugar and salt on medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook about 5 minutes stirring occasionally.

Pour over the graham crackers and spread it out until they are covered.

Then bake for 5 minutes.

Remove from oven and let cool a couple of minutes.

Sprinkle the Andes mint chips all over the top, let melt a couple minutes then spread around.

Sprinkle the top with Christmas sprinkles.

Pop into the fridge for 2 hours.

Break it apart and enjoy!

Andes Mint Christmas Crack Storage

Once the Christmas crack is broken apart, store in a large zip lock bag or air tight container.

TIP: I like to keep some in the freezer for long time snacking and I love my treats cold!

Christmas Crack Variations

You could easily make this recipe with different kinds of crackers, like regular graham crackers.

Or different kinds of chocolate or candy, like peanut butter chips!

Get creative and make some fun recipes of your own.
