DIY Last Minute Christmas Gifts
I don’t know about you but every Christmas I try to be prepared and shop early, but every Christmas I still have last minute gifts I am trying to get together. So to help you out, I have put together a list of some simple DIY Last Minute Christmas Gifts on a budget.
Softest Homemade Playdough
This is a great gift for kids. Make this playdough and put it into a plastic container or a mason jar to give as a gift. This would also be perfect for a class gift or party to give out to each kid. This recipe makes A LOT, and last for a long time. Find the recipe here.
A tray of treats is always my go to gifts. Who doesn’t love treats? You can find cute boxes or Christmas plates at the dollar store and if it’s for a party you can get treat bags. Here are a few of my favorite Christmas treats.
Homemade ornaments are a great gift to give family or even teachers. There are SO many different homemade ornaments. Here are a few of my favorites.
DIY Etched Glass
I made these for a couple people this year. The dollar store has a lot of different glasses to choose from. I chose a margarita glass and a beer mug. (I cut the picture small because it’s a Christmas gift and I don’t want them to see it yet!) 🙂
What you need
Glass of choice
Painters tape or Masking tape
Etching Paint (found at local craft store)
Razor blade knife
First you will either use stencils or print off the design you want. I just wrote a name for mine and then printed it off. So then I used a razor blade knife to cut out the name into the tape. Do this by putting the tape over the stencil or print out that you want. Cut it out with the razor blade and then remove the tape and put it onto the glass. Paint the design with the etching paint. Let dry. Remove the tape and that’s it. 🙂
Now this one isn’t really a DIY project but it is cheap and last minute. Grab a coffee mug from the dollar store and fill it with candy, a little bag of coffee, or some flavored creamer. You could also do this for people who love tea, instead of coffee inside it, you can put candy, tea, honey, or a tea strainer.
Perfect gift for any lady in your life! This gift only has a few ingredients. So simple and thoughtful. Here are a few of my favorite recipes.
Here is a post with some stickers for gift wrapping handmade gifts.
Hope these are helpful!
