The reason I love lactation smoothies is because they are so delicious and easy to throw together.  There are so many different combinations you can try.  One thing you need to make a delicious smoothie is a good blender.  The Ninja Blender is what I have and I love it.  It’s affordable and easy to clean.

Here are the milk supply boosting ingredients

-Oatmeal
-Spinach
-Almonds
-Carrots
Dried Apricots
Brewers Yeast
Flax Seed
-Papaya

I add banana to most of my smoothies because I love the creamy texture it gives.

 

 

Strawberry Banana Lactation Smoothie

-1 cup frozen strawberries
-1 banana
-1 cup spinach
-1 tablespoon honey
-1 tablespoon ground flax seed
-1 cup almond milk
Put all ingredients into the blender and blend on high 2 minutes.

 

Banana Oatmeal Lactation Smoothie

-1 banana
-1/4 cup cooked oatmeal
-1 tablespoon almond butter
-1 tablespoon honey
-1 tablespoon brewers yeast
-3/4 cup almond milk
Put all ingredients into the blender and blend on high 2 minutes.

Peach Papaya Lactation Smoothie

-1 cup frozen peaches
-1/2 papaya
-1/2 banana
-1 tablespoon honey
-1 tablespoon ground flax seed
-1 cup almond milk
Put all ingredients into the blender and blend on high 2 minutes.

 

 

Fruity Carrot Lactation Smoothie

-1/2 cup baby carrots
-1/2 cup frozen peaches
-1/2 cup frozen strawberries
-1/2 banana
-1 tablespoon brewers yeast
-1 tablespoon honey
-1.5 cups almond milk
Put all ingredients into the blender and blend on high 2 minutes.

 

Orangey Apricot Oatmeal Smoothie

-1/2 cup dried apricots
-1/2 banana
-1/4 cup cooked oatmeal
-1 tablespoon ground flax seed
-1 tablespoon honey
-3/4 cup orange juice
Put all ingredients into the blender and blend on high 2 minutes.

  • I drink Healthy nursing tea, it works the best for me. I’ve also heard that oatmeal helps, and of course, drink lots of water and try to get enough sleep.
