Brownie Truffles

These rich and delicious brownie truffles are one of my favorite desserts.  And they are super easy to make.

Brownie Balls are the perfect treat for any holiday or to just make for your family.  I like to make these with different sprinkle for different holidays.  Pink sprinkles for Valentine’s Day, orange and black for Halloween, etc.

Sometimes we need to have simple treat recipes on hand.  Don’t get me wrong I love to bake from scratch and cook a yummy home made dinner, but sometimes I need something that doesn’t take much effort.  And my brownie truffles are just that.

INGREDIENTS FOR BROWNIE TRUFFLES

  • Brownie mix, made according to package directions
  • 1 bag white chocolate melts
  • 1-2 T Caramel topping
  • sprinkles of choice

Brownie Batter Balls

First, you will make the brownies according to the package directions.  I use the Ghirardelli double chocolate brownies, they are delicious.  Once the brownies are done let them cool completely.

After the brownies are cooled, remove the brownies from the pan and put into your  Kitchen Aid mixer.  You can use a mixing bowl if you don’t have a mixer.

I do not use the brownie edges for this recipe, save those edges and eat them! 🙂  If you use the edges there will be random crunchy pieces in the balls and if you don’t know what they are a random crunchy thing inside tastes a little weird.

Add 1-2 tablespoons of your caramel topping.  Depending on the box of brownies that you use, this amount may vary.  After you add the caramel topping into the brownies, mix them together until it balls up.  The consistency should be a little sticky, but not to much.  You want to be able to roll them into balls.

Brownie Batter Balls

Roll them into balls, I use a cookie dough scoop.  It should make about 18 balls.

Freeze them 15 minutes.

When the balls are done in the freezer, melt the chocolate in 30 second intervals.

Coat the brownie truffles in chocolate and place onto wax paper. I use a fork and toothpicks to coat the brownie balls.

Top with sprinkles of your choice and that’s it!

Super simple and SO YUMMY!

Brownie Truffle Storage

Keep the brownie balls in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve them.  I like to eat my right out the fridge.  🙂

Brownie Ball Variations

You make so many different variations of my brownie batter balls by switching up different elements of the recipe.

My absolute favorite way to eat them is with dark chocolate coating.  You could use andes mints, peanut butter chocolate and so much more.

You can also top them with different toppings other than sprinkles, such as nuts or coconut.  Get creative!  This is a fun dessert to make with kids.
