3 Immunity Boosting Detox Bath Recipes for Kids

Detoxifying baths are a great way to remove toxins from the body.  There are toxins all around us, our bodies can get overloaded.  With diseases and chronic illnesses becoming more common, detox baths can be a great aid in removing toxins.

If your child becomes sick, taking a detoxifying bath can help clear the sickness up quicker.  An Epsom salt bath (see below) can also help sore muscles, which can happen sometimes when sick.  Detox baths also help us sweat a little bit helping remove toxins.

But you don’t have to wait to detox until your child is sick.  Taking a weekly detox bath can help boost your child’s immunity by removing the toxins before they pile up.  I like to take detox baths regularly and my kids deserve the same!

Toxin Tip:
Depending on the water in your area, your water could also have toxins.  If you can get a water filter for the bath and shower, I would highly suggest it.  The one I have for our showers is the Berkey Shower Filter and I just use the shower head to fill up the bath.  They also have filters for the bath spout that you can buy.

There are different types of detox baths that can help with different things, be sure to consult with your child’s doctor before trying anything new.  I’m going to share with you my top 3 Detox Bath Recipes for Kids.

1. Epsom Salt Detox Bath with Lavender Recipe For Kids

Epsom salt baths help with detoxing, muscle aches and pains, sleep and more.

Here is what you need

  • 1/2 cup Lavender Epsom Salt  (if your child weighs more than 60 lbs use 1 cup)
  • 2 Tablespoons baking soda (this helps clean the water and also detoxifies)

If you have regular Epsom salt, you can add a few drops of lavender oil or just leave it out.  The lavender helps with relaxation and sleep. We really love Epsoak Kids Lavender Soak and Sleep Epsom Salt.

Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate.  A lot of people are deficient in magnesium and don’t even know.  We use magnesium for many things like detox baths, anxiety, constipation, sleep troubles and more.  Learn How We Use Magnesium Oil For Sleep.

Detox Bath Tips

  • Do not use any other soap or product, the chemicals in these products can be absorbed instead of the good things in the bath.  Just let your child get in the bath, soak and relax.
  • The warmer the water, the better to help detox to the fullest.
  • Make sure your child drinks extra fluids on detox bath day.
  • Use quality safe products.
