I use olive oil a lot when I am cooking.  Olive oil is so flavorful and good for you.  Knowing what makes a good olive oil and what to look for when buying it are not something that is common knowledge.  Before I joined the Flavor of Life campaign, I always tried to buy quality olive oil but was never 100% certain.  Below I am going to share with you some tips and knowledge from Flavor Your Life and also a Spicy White Bean Garlic Hummus recipe to use this EVOO in, from yours truly. 🙂

I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use.  My opinions are my own. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.  I only recommend things that I love.

Flavor Your Life

Flavor Your Life is a campaign dedicated to providing the latest news in European Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  This program hopes to educate US consumers so we know how to purchase better, authentic EVOO.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made by pressing the European Olive without any heat or chemicals, it is done this way to keep the EVOO fresh and pure.  It has very low acidity to assure the quality of the taste.  Expert tasters judge the oil and must agree that it meets the standards of the extra virgin rating.

Cooking with olive oil is so versatile.  You can saute, fry, and bake with it.  Make sure to store olive oil in a cool and dark place to keep it tasting fresh.  The brand of olive oil I received is Zucchi, a premier Italian Olive Oil company.  There are so many different types of olive oils.  A European oil is dark green, herbal aroma, and grassy in flavor.  Zucchi delivers traceable and sustainable products that you can trust.
